Our unique Educational Curriculum, based on the work of

Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner and Erik Erikson guides students with monthly themes and provides a creative framework for learning. One of those philosophies endorses a child-initiated approach, in which children are free to explore their individual interest with teacher support. The other places a greater emphasis on teacher direction, where an established curriculum leads children along a consistent learning path.       

Infant Room                                                            

Our Infant room offers a caring, nurturing environment that stimulates your child with engaging activities and songs. We begin Sign Language at age six (6) months, which helps to facilitate early communication, and encourage the children to explore and discover more about their world. Our hands on curriculum is designed to help your child reach important developmental milestones, including body awareness, healthy social and emotional interaction, intellectual development, and language acquisition, while thriving in a loving school setting!

Young Toddler Room                                                       

Our Young Toddler Room is full of energy, and fosters positive self-esteem and a love of learning. This classroom is beginning to build upon fundamental math concepts and problem solving skills, while encouraging personal discovery. Our unique curriculum helps to provide the tools for our Young Toddlers to learn about social interaction and language building skills in a structured setting, allowing for creativity, curiosity, and personal growth. We encourage independence and individualism as each child grows and blooms.

Early Preschool Room

Our Early Preschool Room begins to focus on moving from individual to group play. In this classroom, we guide your child in constructing important social skills, as well as building confidence through creative art, music and movement, and self-expression. We introduce letters and numbers in a stimulating and hands on approach, and through our weekly theme based units, provide for exciting opportunities to develop decision making skills in a developmentally appropriate way. Our balanced learning approach is the perfect combination of learning, sharing, and exploring to engage young minds and prepare them for the road to Preschool!

Preschool Room

Our Preschool Room builds the necessary skills to succeed in the path ahead, supporting each individual child in their learning adventure! Instilling a sense of confidence, we have specific math, reading, and foreign language programs, teaching about sequencing, categorizing, writing, storytelling, social studies, technology and more. In addition, our character development curriculum teaches about the fundamentals of respect, cooperation, and community involvement. As we study about the many cultures that create our world, preschoolers learn the importance of appreciating differences, and ample time with technological programs make for advanced computer skills. Our individualized approach ensures that each child is on the trail to academic success!

Private Pre-Kindergarten                   

Our Private Pre-K classroom offers the very best in educational learning. With our advanced reading, writing, and math programs, we teach the process of phonemic awareness, sentence structure, literacy skills, and so much more! In addition, our creative art, music and movement, and physical development and health components help your child gain exceptional skills with self-expression and awareness that lead to academic success. Collaborative problem-solving activities help to develop complex logical thinking patterns, and to forge self-sufficient, independent children! In our Private Pre-K class, we are developing students who learn the importance of giving back to the community through interactive events and shared ideas. With monthly assessments and Bracken assessments to communicate your child’s progress, this classroom is the ultimate preparatory tool for great success in kindergarten.

Private Kindergarten

Nothing prepares your child for academic success like a strong kindergarten experience. Individual attention with an emphasis on reading and math concepts provides each child with a solid foundation for elementary school accomplishments. We'll partner with you to ensure your child's achievements via parent-teacher conferences, weekly and monthly communication, and ongoing assessments, focusing on the seven major learning domains. After School Program

For our School Age children, we provide individualized attention and support with homework help, and strive to make learning fun! We have plenty of opportunities to engage in child-initiated and teacher directed activities, yet we also allow time to relax and unwind from the school day. Our media center allows children to partake in engaging, interactive computer programs or listening centers, while different zones encourage children to explore in science themes, music and art, and plenty of outdoor games. We help children think, feel, and experience new challenges, plus explore different interests in an age-appropriate way, all while providing support and encouragement for each child.

Summer Camp Program

At Oxford Trails Academy, we believe that learning does not stop when the school year does, that is why our Summer Camp Program is filled with adventurous learning themes and exciting field trips! Our structured schedule ensures that everyone is engaged and having a blast, while still learning and staying on track through the summer. Each month has a unique theme, and the units of learning and field trips all reflect that particular theme. We combine traditional Summer Camp with lots of scientific exploration, hands on involvement, crafts and expressive art projects, and much, much more!

Golden Key Club

The Golden Key Club allows children to get to know our Senior Citizen Friends and become involved in the Helping Hands programs within our community.
